Follow Charlotte McShane's Road to Kona

Published: August 29, 2026

We are incredibly excited to be supporting Australian professional triathlete Charlotte McShane as she prepares for the 2026 IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, on 10 October.

As a small Australian family business with a passion for healthy, nourishing plant-based food, it's a privilege to play a small part in Charlotte's journey to one of the world's most iconic endurance events.

Charlotte received her first Just Add Vegan box last week and has already been putting our meals to the test alongside some seriously big training sessions. And we're delighted to report that she's loving them so far!

Meet Charlotte

Charlotte has been competing at the highest level of triathlon for 18 years.

During her career she has represented Australia at 12 World Championship events and two Commonwealth Games, won the 2013 Under-23 World Triathlon Championship, earned bronze at the 2016 World Triathlon Championship Grand Final, and was part of Australia's World Championship-winning Mixed Team Relay in 2017.

In 2025, Charlotte made the move into long-course triathlon and qualified for the 2026 IRONMAN World Championship in Kona at only her second IRONMAN. Most recently, she celebrated her first IRONMAN 70.3 podium finish, taking second place in Lapu-Lapu in the Philippines.

And Charlotte is vegan.

Fuelled by a shared philosophy

Preparing for an IRONMAN isn't just about the hours spent swimming, cycling and running.

Nutrition plays a vital role too.

Charlotte's focus is on eating enough carbohydrates to fuel her training and enough protein to support recovery and adaptation.

And when you're training at that level, finding the time and energy to prepare nourishing food can be a challenge too.

That's where we come in.

We believe healthy eating should support your life, not make it more complicated.

Whether you're preparing for an IRONMAN World Championship, balancing a demanding career, looking after your family, or simply trying to eat more plant-based food, nourishing yourself should be simple, enjoyable and delicious.

Charlotte has already started sharing some of her Just Add Vegan meals and we can't wait to find out which dishes become her favourites.

We're incredibly grateful to Charlotte for supporting our small Australian family business, and very proud to be helping support her as she prepares to compete on the world's biggest IRONMAN stage.

Good luck with the final weeks of preparation, Charlotte. We're thrilled to be part of your Road to Kona! 🌱🏊🚴🏃
